Thieves no longer need a mask and gun
In earlier eras, a mask and gun let you know you were being robbed. Today, it's harder to tell.
Whether it's prices at the gas pump, the supermarket, or the cost of a used car, it's almost impossible to know if you're paying a supplier's increased costs, or whether you're just outright being fucked. (Kinda' makes you long for an era when you knew for sure you were being robbed.)
The price of gas and food hurts the poorest among us the most. The middle class feels some of the hurt, and the rich don't even notice it. Ahh, the wonders of unregulated capitalism.
Watching the pain, anguish, uncertainty, and fear of Ukrainian refugees makes it seem petty to bitch about whether we're paying more because of inflation, or whether we're just outright being fucked. But you can bet that those greedy shits stuffing their ill-gotten gains into their pockets are just loving this type of uncertainty and ambiguity.
Most of us can imagine a world in which there are no refugees fleeing for their lives, or poor people trying to figure out how to make their salary put some bread and milk on the table. That's not the world in which we live right now. (Actually, it never has been.) But, given today's technology, that world is achievable.
So my question is how do we get rid of the greedy pricks who want it all? How do we defeat their lust for power and wealth? How do we rid humanity of those swine who well know how to rise to positions of power, and then use that power to fuck "lesser human beings?"
Maybe a good start would be to demand that, in order for them to achieve their goals, they must publicly outfit themselves with a mask and gun. (I'm talking about you, Ron DeSantis, and you, Greg Abbott, and you, Ted Cruz, and you, Josh Hawley, and you, Tom Cotton, and you, TFG, and you, Vladimir Putin, and each and every prick just like you who wants all the wealth and power in the world, and doesn't give a rat's ass about anyone else.)
