Propaganda is being used in this war in Ukraine. We are told that Putin is threatening 15 years in prison for anyone that calls it a "war". Is that true or is that propaganda?
The Russians may be missing their Big Mac and their special Amazon order already? The people will have to suffer for the actions and words of their leader, Mr Putin.
But, the Russian people should know that America is on their side, regardless of what their leader does. They should know that we do not want to punish the Russian people. Not only is that effective politics, it is also good propaganda.
America should call for businesses to return to Russia as soon as possible. The person responsible for them not getting the things they want is nobody except Mr Putin.
We do not want to punish the Russian people. We are on their side.
That is the message they should be receiving in Russia, in my opinion.

We are told that they do not know what is happening in Ukraine?
We are watching war on the big screen.
Putin should be willing to negotiate an end to these hostilities, I would think?
"War huh? What is it good for? Nothing. Absolutely nothing."
As Winston Churchill once noted, "Talk, talk, talk is better than war, war, war" or paraphrasing.
What could possibly be negotiated unless Putin withdrew his troops and agreed that Ukraine is an independent country.
In return, Ukraine would not join NATO. They would remain a friend to the Russian people. Although independent and not a member of NATO, they would not be a part of Russia, either.
In return, Russia should pay restitution by building back the structural damage they had done to Ukraine.
NATO would also assure that Ukraine had earned the trust of Europe and the world and that, although they would be an independent nation, they would have the full support and respect of the NATO countries.
(If Vladimir Putin were tried as a "war criminal", then that should be left to the Russian people, in my humble opinion.)
