(32,595 posts)It was reported on tv that almost all of these stores are not company businesses (owned by McDonalds). They are franchises.

(9,035 posts)get their paychecks from the franchisee. One of the major ones in my area is Raccoon Valley Partners, which has 14 stores in the Des Moines area.

(10,035 posts)They arent high rollers, just getting by like those in the US. I dont know if they are privately owned like many here, but Im more interested in seeing the oligarchs suffer. Just like the US there are many rich and many struggling. We probably have a larger middle class here.
