Would you rather Trump lose all his money or spend a decade in prison?

All responses want tfg in JAIL. A few ask why not both.

I vote jail. It would be more embarrassing for him IMHO. Of course I can dream.

than prison. He wouldn't go to Leavenworth or the Supermax prison where guys like El Chapo and the Unabomber are; he'd wind up in a minimum-security prison, which, while not exactly the Ritz, isn't breaking rocks on Alcatraz either. He'd be a celebrity in prison, like Bernie Madoff was for awhile. https://gothamist.com/news/bernard-madoff-loves-being-in-prison-i-am-quite-the-celebrity While I'd certainly be happy to see him in a jumpsuit that matches his face, being destitute and ignored would probably make him more miserable than being in prison and famous.

My favorite fate-of-Trump fantasy has him dead broke and living alone in a run-down double-wide in a seedy trailer park somewhere in, say, Nebraska, where it gets very hot in the summer, cold in the winter, and is susceptible to tornadoes. He spends his days sitting on the steps of his humble home drinking diet Pepsi, eating KFC and railing about the injustices done to him. He has become dangerously obese; his old clothes no longer fit so most of the time he wears XXX-L sweat pants and a stained wife-beater undershirt adorned with a six-foot-long red polyester necktie. Because he is no longer able to manage his hairdo, his fringe of stringy, now-gray hair hangs almost to his shoulders, revealing his shiny, blotchy scalp. His neck wattles obscure his actual neck almost entirely.

He is living off proceeds from the sale of some items of personal property that Melania missed when she cleaned out Mierda-Loco and took off for Slovenia; these included several sets of monogrammed gold cufflinks and a roomful of dictator-Baroque gilded chairs. He kept the throniest-looking chair to sit in at night while he watches Fox News on a small, very old tv with a coat hanger for an antenna, hoping Tucker Carlson will mention him. He never does. Don Jr. sometimes writes to him from prison but the rest of his family is in Brazil, which does not have an extradition treaty with the U.S., and he hasn't heard from them in months.

He wonders what he will do when he has sold the last set of cufflinks. The pawn shop owner is not very generous, and the only collectors who might be interested are those unemployed neckbeards who live in their parents' basements and collect knockoff Nazi memorabilia.

Sometimes he waddles over to the neighbors' trash bins and pokes around in them with a stick, never with his little hands, hoping to find a copy of the New York Times or the Washington Post that might have an article about him. He wonders if Maggie Haberman still writes about him. Since his neighbors do not subscribe to these newspapers, he is able to imagine that his name still appears in them from time to time. Sometimes he finds uneaten French fries in the bins, which is a nice bonus when it happens, but most of the time the neighbors chase him away.

When he goes into town to cash his welfare and Social Security checks nobody recognizes him.

steal his loose change off the dresser to support their coke habits.

Ivanka scored a gig doing that spinning-sign thing for a tax preparer, but it only lasts a few weeks a year.

Melanoma and her parents see that, even with current events, the grass is greener back in mother russia, but they can only afford standby coach seats, and they keep getting bumped. They ultimately become like that guy that lived in the airport for years.

a real prison, not a Club Fed like Martha Stewart supposedly went to. If the verdict is appropriate, I'd buy him a ticket to Gitmo myself on a twin-engine puddlejumper. With maybe a Black female or Muslim pilot to keep his blood pressure up.

Debt. That's all he has is leveraged debt. Negative balance sheet figures from here to kingdom come.

The one thing he was trading on that actually brought in cash flow - the supposed cachet of his name, is totally trashed. No one wants his name on a building (or anything else, for that matter) any longer. It won't surprise me to see his golf courses start to go under. Apparently most of them lose money hand over fist, including Doral and the ones in Scotland.

In addition to the "not above the law" demonstration purposes, it would be worse from him than going broke.

1) He's already going broke, and it would severely constrict his ability to raise money;
2) He's always gotten away with whatever he's done. He needs to spend a little quality time with "didn't get away with it this time".
3) If he doesn't like it, he's free to keel over dead.

A few here have mentioned he doesn't really have that much money. That was my thought too.
He has real estate, equity, and lots of expenses and debt. Losing his appearance of wealth would be nice to see, destroying the illusion of his wealth. But he deserves to be locked up.

Putting him in prison, he'd be locked away. That would also be nice to see, but we wouldn't see it.
The reason I said put him in a cage is because he's an animal. I like animals, but some belong in a cage, so they can't wreak havoc, disrupt and destroy, and hurt others. I first thought to lock him up in a library because he hates books and people could come see him caged. They display art at my local library, every month a new exhibit of several artists. I put that together and thought they could put him on display, take him around so people could come see him actually behind bars, maybe toss some rotten tomatoes and eggs at the plexiglass surrounding him, for his safety.

Since you asked....

Al Capone had a phonograph on "The Rock", I recall, and a stay in prison made Hitler a celebrity.

May I suggest the witness protection program?

By his own admission, the deep state is out to get him for calling out Satanism, pedophilia, cannibalism and ritualistic abuse/murder, way beyond whatever protection the Secret Service can provide.

Besides, he failed Spectre, I mean the KGB, which has special rewards for failure. Ask Kronsteen.

The anonymity would be more torture than all the above.

I want him housed in the military stockade on Camp Humphreys, Korea. His jail job can be turf maintenance on the Camp Humphreys golf course. No cell phones, no relaying "words of wisdom" to his cult, no fast food. The bastard will either learn to like kimchi REAL quick, or he'll starve to death.
