If they can't use tanks or infantry how can they take cities. Of course that could lead to even more destruction by missiles.

About 30-40 tanks plus support vehicles. The commander (probably a colonel) was killed in the attack, the unit in disarray with heavy losses reported. Unclear if anyone assumed command or if any attempts to regroup have taken place

I don't know if Sybyn was a staging area or if something blocked the road. I suspect it was the former as it appears the Russians stayed in a travel formation rather than transitioning into a combat formation.

They will return but will have to assume they will face opposition here again whether or not anyone is there.
