Communists tend to nationalize regardless of whether the company leaves or not. It is part of their ideology. The means of production are communally owned (hence "communist&quot .

Fascists like Putin, seize property in retaliation or as a means to consolidate power. Fascism is not an "organized" ideology in the same vein as Liberal Capitalist democracy or Socialism / Communism. Fascism is "whatever gets us in power and keeps us in power". They will employ any tactic to gain and consolidate power whether that be "democracy", state control, etc...

Remember that Hitler and Mussolini took some companies under state control, but allowed other more compliant companies to operate "autonomously".
