Yep, bad news is ...SLOWLY ... starting to hit informed Russians ... slowly

https://www.thedailybeast.com/even-russias-state-tv-admits-ukraine-disaster-has-putin-in-trouble

This is from one of the sanctioned Russian talk show pundits coming to reality...

...the suffering of one group of innocents does not compensate for the suffering of other innocent people... I don’t see the probability of denazification of such an enormous country. We would need to bring in 1.5 million soldiers to control all of it. At the same time, I don’t see any political power that would consolidate the Ukrainian society in a pro-Russian direction... Those who talked of their mass attraction [of Ukranianes] to Russia obviously didn’t see things the way they are. ....”

and

... “What are they achieving by prolonging the war? First of all, public opinion within Russia is changing. People are shocked by the masses of refugees, the humanitarian catastrophe, people start to imagine themselves in their place. It’s starting to affect them. To say that the Nazis are doing that is not quite convincing, strictly speaking... On top of that, economic sanctions will start to affect them, and seriously. There will probably be scarcity. A lot of products we don’t produce, even the simplest ones. There’ll be unemployment. They really thought through these sanctions, they’re hitting us with real continuity. It’s a well-planned operation... Yes, this is a war of the United States with Russia... These sanctions are hitting us very precisely.

1. "Yes, this is a war of the United States with Russia"

That is precisely why they are 'claiming' why a bioweapons lab built by the USA was in Ukraine.

They DESPERATELY want Biden to send American Soldiers into Ukraine.

For them its a 'better war' to fight against a super power.

Right now - the entire world knows they are just a lawless, vicious, war crime committing bully.

So that talk show host? He got his marching orders from the top. Tell them there are Americans there they are fighting against.

Just more disinformation on their part.

We are the big bad mean Americans. You know and I know - they lose against us.

They need to keep Russian folks thinking that Russia is the victim.

and the Russian High Command very well knows that in a conventional fight, the US Military would annihilate the Russian Military.

it served greater purpose for him. Maybe those purposes are in line with drawing down while saving face, or maybe they're simply designed to give false impression. Or just gauge opinion in a wide-scale blind-study.

Maybe I'm completely off base and the station has gone moderate-rogue, but the station is wholly state-owned and operated. Unless the broadcaster himself broke with the message and took the station by surprise.
