Capitol rioter Ashli Babbitt's brother charged with hate crime and battery

The brother of Ashli Babbitt — the Donald Trump fanatic killed by law enforcement while storming the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021 — reportedly faces battery and hate crime charges after an alleged attack on a city worker in San Diego.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that Roger Stefan Witthoeft Jr. was arraigned March 1 on a misdemeanor charge of battery with a hate-crime enhancement, as well as violating the constitutional rights of a Latino San Diego Gas & Electric traffic controller by threat of force in September.

Roger Witthoeft is facing charges.

Prosecutors charge that Witthoeft, upset about a road closure, “verbally and physically confronted the worker” shortly after 11 p.m. on Sept. 14. in San Diego’s Point Loma Heights neighborhood, where city employees were making repairs.

After yelling slurs at a worker, who is Latino, and telling him, “Go back to your country,” Witthoeft challenged the employee to fight him, according to prosecutors. He then shoved the worker and took a swing at him, knocking off his hard hat.

Witthoeft allegedly shoved and tried to strike a San Diego Gas & Electric traffic controller in September while shouting “a number of racial slurs” at the Latino man — telling him to “Go back to your country, you f—- immigrant,” according to the City Attorney’s Office.

The suspect is accused of asking the victim, whom he allegedly challenged to a fight, “Why don’t you talk in English, you f— immigrant?”

He also allegedly shoved the man, swung at him and knocked off his hard hat, according to the report.

wanted to blame him for inconveniencing him with the entire project.

The thing is that it’s tough to be a racist in California — there are so many Latinos it’s a wonder the thugs just don’t burn themselves out before they even have their morning coffee (and I wish they would). Some have California family that go back 400 years, some aren’t Latino but Indigenous, and others are indeed more recently arrived.

What’s a thug to do when you can’t even tell the brown people apart?
