The see high prices and inflation as hurting Democrats, so we are in for it. To a wealthy person, they do not even pay attention to prices at the grocery or at the pump, it just doesn't matter. When you live on Social Security, a dollar increase in the cost of gasoline or $7.00/lbs for hamburger is significant.

People were outraged, and within a day or two prices had gone back to normal.

That was called out around the country as profiteering, and everyone saw that clearly.

Now, what was called profiteering is called smart business.
