"President Donald Trump's former national security adviser, retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, appeared Thursday before the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol and exercised his Fifth Amendment right in response to the panel's questions, his attorney said."
This man is a traitor to the country he swore to serve. I hope justice will soon be served.

(326 posts)If there was ever a reason for calling this traitor's ass back to active duty and have him face court martial this is it. Secretary Austin, do it now. He gave you an opening, take it.

(3,386 posts)Just watch the military in action in all those countries where totalitarian regimes have taken over the government, they turn against their own people to support the dictator, and why? because dictators understand they need the military to stay in power, so they corrupt easily corruptible people. I have a friend who worked for a high ranking man in the military in a South American country, he tells me that he was in a party, the suddenly the high ranking brass was called into a private room away from the party, another military walked in with two briefcases, he opened them and started distributing American dollars, they gave him $20,000.00 which he at first he refused (that is what he told me) but was told by his boss "to better take it". He told me this was a common theme.
We have to be worried about the military (Flynn, Petreus, etc.), and I say this because there are so many examples throughout the World about the military not being all they can be (pun intended) turning against the people in support of a totalitarian regime, even while supporting the totalitarian regime performing corrupt actions, an example is the Russian military who seemed to have stolen money that was meant to strengthen the military, they bought for yachts and are/were living the high life.
I just hope the Russian military has become accustomed to their high life and refuse to continue the invasion in order to preserve their "quality" of life, and also get Putin out from power.
