(9,971 posts)The US and EU leaders must find a way to help Ukraine stop Putins madness sooner rather than later. If he is allowed to take Ukraine, he will turn its cities into complete rubble, if anything is left after the bombing. In Grozny, after the city was taken Russian soldiers were allowed to murder, rape, and steal from those who were left. Human Rights Watch documented the atrocities, but of course nothing was ever done about them. This paragraph describes what happened in Aldi, a suburb of Grozny. I fear what Putin will allow his soldiers to do to Ukrainians if they capture cities because he is a cruel, vindictive man.
On February 5, 2000, Russian forces engaged in widespread killing, arson, rape and looting in Aldi. The victims included an eighty-two-year-old woman, and a one-year-old-boy with his twenty-nine-year-old mother, who was eight months pregnant. The 46-page report criticizes the failure of the Russian authorities to undertake a credible investigation into the massacre and provide adequate protection for witnesses.

Last night I decided I would happily comtribute all the $$$ I could to put a contract out on Putin.
