Ukrainians fighting each other over food

I have no link to this as I heard it on BBC TV.

They said that in the city of Melitopol (?) food is so scarce that the citizens are fighting each other over food.

I imagine if you have children to feed and you have no food and you see someone who has food you will try to get it.

They also said there is no medicine especially for people with diabetes and cancer so they must suffer the results of being unmedicated.

Words fail me.

On March 6, an MSF shipment of emergency medical supplies was delivered to the Ukrainian Ministry of Health in Kyiv. The shipment contained 1,400 cubic feet of supplies, including surgical kits, trauma kits, and basic necessities for intensive care units, emergency rooms, and surgical operating theaters. These supplies are now being sent on to hospitals in the city and other towns further east where they are urgently needed. We are sending additional supplies to the country.

9. Residents In Ukraine's Mariupol Fighting For Food: ICRC

Mariupol residents have become so desperate that some have fought each other for food during Russia's siege of the Ukrainian city, the International Committee of the Red Cross said Thursday.

"People started to attack each other for food. People started to ruin someone's car to take the gasoline out," said Mariupol-based ICRC representative Sasha Volkov in an audio recording.

"Many have no water at all for drinking. All the shops and pharmacies were looted four to five days ago.

"Some people still have food but I'm not sure for how long it will last. Many people report having no food for children."

It can happen to me, and has, even if I have insulin but I am sick etc. and my body can’t use it properly. There are diabetic communities giving aid to all diabetics there, I hope they can help and everyone with medical needs/ issues gets what they need asap.
