Nothing ever just goes away, nothing ever just disappears...

For the past two years, the past two years, we have seen Republicans:

* Fundraise off claims the 2020 election was stolen
* Campaign off claims the 2020 election was stolen
* Go to events with white nationalists and claim the 2020 election was stolen
* Make media appearances and claim the 2020 election was stolen
* Make evidence-free assertions the 2020 election was stolen
* And they're STILL complaining about it

And so what happens if they were to supposedly reclaim the House and or Senate this November? Do they suddenly get to say "we're not talking about that anymore" or "that doesn't apply to us" and we're just supposed to go along with it? "Oh OK, we'll see again in two years..."

Sure they "won", and there is gerrymandering and voter suppression; but what exactly changed to make the vote fair and a sample of what Americans want?

They attacked the process for two years and made it a staple of Republican ideology, should they really get the right to claim a mandate, legitimacy, or majority status from that same process when it suddenly benefits them?

If they lose, it is not. Simple.
I don't see this going away any time soon, but hope springs eternal. If they are prosecuted for their crimes it might, but even that seems like a long shot at this point.

4. Assign a special prosecutor now

I don't pretend to know all the ins and outs of how these things work, but I have read that if a special prosecutor were to be assigned now, even a GQP house win in 2022 won't allow them to stop the investigation.

I don't know if this is correct or not, but there are some very smart people here who know whether this is accurate or not I think.

They would not be able to do anything about the DOJ.

5. They will pass a law to remove Joe Biden from his fraudulent win and install the 'rightful" winner.

50/50 on the Supreme Court upholding the vote, using states' rights and the phase of the Moon at the time of the 2020 election as the basis for their reasoning.

Trump will be the president for the remainder of the two year term, plus the 2 years that were stolen from him. There will be no 2024 election because Trump's term will extend to '26 when the next presidential election will take place. It will be confusing to some, but justice will demand it. Tucker can explain it to 'em.

Then

Congress will pass laws to rescind all of the legislation that Biden passed. Democrats will be required to return all of the Covid stimulus money they received. Soldiers will be returned to Afghanistan to kick Talib asses. Democrats will be required to excavate potholes that were repaired using highway tax funds.

I could go on and on but in summary, it will not be good.

As long as they can say, "you can site this, because it could be used against us."

The 6 people they have are unelected ruling council. Other than Thomas, did any of them get seated by a President who actually won the popular vote?

I am thinking and hoping results will produce a close or divided government. We can hold our own with a few strategic pickups and a close House. We need to generate political energy at the ballot box, obviously.
