(11,336 posts)the Russian destabilization agenda (for all of western democracy, but particularly the U.S. and NATO) is longstanding, and is only tangentially related to Ukraine. Borders and land acquisition are kind of in a separate chapter of Putin's book.

(11,336 posts)but it does present a nice contrast - corpulent, swinish, pig ignorant thug (in ill fitting pull up pants and matching jacket) vs the other guy - who looks like he might possibly have dressed himself that morning - and occasionally entertains a productive thought. (most likely about salvaging democracy in the east)
