Should Ukraine get the jets?

Yeah I know this issue is dead. And I hope that they at least get some high quality SAMs from this last bill, but what is DU's opinion on the jet sitch? I guess I still support it because Ukraine is asking for them and frankly I think we should provide everything they think they need to defend themselves -regardless of the overall opinion of the affectiveness of such a scheme.

Yes, they should get the MiGs they are asking for.

They should not get the MiGs, but a limited number of jets like A-10s would be peferable

But also, double down on the ground defenses. Anti aircraft weapons and anti missile defenses. These should be EVERYWHERE in the country. A virtually unlimited supply.

Probably best to accept that the US and allies are doing the best they can within the constraints of keeping the war confined to where it is now.

I think public opinion and debate is what makes us stronger and in that regard our opinions are very important.

The public has supported many of the actions taken. In large part to leadership, but it’s helpful for the US and allied leadership to know the public is giving them the green light to go further.

Apparently the Polish MiGs are in poor condition, and the Polish government is looking to get rid of them. That's bullsh*t. The Ukrainians need working aircraft, not someone's sloppy seconds. What would probably benefit them the most are attack helicopters, preferably with anti-tank missiles. Of course, that's just MHO.

From ascertaining all the information that i have, we would do just as well by supplying them with as much anti-aircraft weaponry as we can.

Latest news I have read says Russians are afraid to leave their own airspace... and that most of the bombing attacks against Ukraine cities right now are by cruise missles or artillery-- against which no "no fly zone" would provide any defense whatsover............
