ABC reports Pentagon estimates RU has lost 20% of it's forces

I was watching news segments on my phone last night and the ABC story was the one that really caught my attention.

I don't know how to post links to a site on my phone so that's why I don't have one here.

I don't think that means that 20% of invading Russians have been killed or wounded. I think it means that 20% of all units have been rendered ineffective for various reasons.

If the estimate is accurate, I think that's astounding.

The prefix “deci-“ means one-tenth.

20% is twice that amount.

Go, Ukrainians! Let’s see you make it to 30%!

Anything below that is critical; those numbers indicated non functioning.

Further, it's just not combat unit's stats. It's also critical with combat support and combat support service
Combat support: Insuring men and material are functioning, prep'd, available: Mechanics, ammo, fuel, communications, transportation, etc
Combat support services: Logistics, everything from weather reports to food service, medical (extremely important), most important, good intell.

The military tripod. If any one of those legs breaks ...

When it gets to 30% then we may start to see some unit's revolting.

40%+ and IMHO it is all over - Putin better lock the gates because those conscripts will be pointing their guns to the rear.

Different story for a 'regular' Army. Those units could accept up to 60% + before they become totally ineffective, and may not revolt.
