That means "treason" (according to the more extensive claims in the Ukr media).

Similarly, in Kherson local officials are saying that the "aggressor" is prepping to declare a Kherson People's Republic and hold elections. (Upon which, presumably, it would be declared a country and invite in Russian troops to protect them against Ukr genociding them. We've seen this part of the appendix to the last 8 years' playbook). Local elected representatives (etc.) were asked to cooperate and support the invaders and said no, so hold a mock election and replace them. This isn't just the town, but the "oblast" or, I guess, "province".


If that happens, I assume Zaporizhzhia oblast (zaporiz'ka oblast') will be next.
