Russia will treat western arms shipments to Ukraine as legitimate military targets, deputy foreign minister Sergei Ryabkov says.
"We warned [the US] of consequences from the insane transfer to Ukraine of weapons like mobile anti-aircraft systems, anti-tank missiles, and so on."

(17,474 posts)I wonder where the other 3/4s of his military is? Is Ukraine a feint? Is his agreement with China that they will join him only if NATO attacks him? It is the things that we don't know that worry me. Is he following Sun Tzu's lesson: Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak - Sun Tzu, The Art of War.

(58,605 posts)No way will Putin target arms shipments in NATO countries. The shipments stop at the borders and are transshipped to Ukrainian transport for movement within Ukraine borders. Not much NATO can do after it crosses into Ukraine.
If Putin starts shooting at any target within NATO borders, all bets are off.

What's up with "insane transfer to Ukraine of weapons like mobile anti-aircraft systems, anti-tank missiles, and..."? Who and what is the really "insane" action?
