(182,284 posts)Conservative minds just dont register irony or sarcasm. Ive always thought he didnt think or want to win regardless of his extreme narcissism. He was meant simply as a monkey wrench into our system. Almost like an inside joke for Putin, giggling as he watched. Trump ends up winning in a fluke and ....well we saw the disaster.

Its who they are.
I am shocked that things Trump did were not shocking after awhile, that so often it was taken in stride. Just another day in Trump World. Of course, if something that Trump did or said got too much media attention, he'd just distract with something else equally or more outrageous. He thrived on chaos and the media couldn't or wouldn't keep up.

(18,907 posts)Trump is such a lazy man. Had he been totally committed, with no time for flying back and forth to Florida for golf, and flying all around the country for his ego-stroking "rallies", he probably could have destroyed our democracy in four years.
An inherently lazy man, Trump wouldn't start a "working" day in the White House until 11:00 am, and his "working" day - with ample "executive time" always on the schedule - would end at 5 - 6 pm.
If he had been determined to carry out Putin's wishes he almost certainly could have. As we all know, if his heart - such as it is - is behind an action, he or his designated henchmen can accomplish it. But this was Putin's wish list, not his, and he only put a half-hearted effort behind it.
That could be a great deal of the reason he didn't succeed. However, this isn't over yet. Stay tuned.

Ex-FBI director James Comey, who was famously fired by Trump, wrote in his book that the former president had an obsessive interest in the allegation.
If this episode never happened, why does the world's biggest SORE LOSER feel the need to deny this allegation, from 8-9 years ago?

(51,129 posts)The other factor missing in all this discussion is the Russian mob, both in Russia and NY. Putin is not just the president of Russia, he runs an international mafia. And we need to realize the government of Russia and the Russian oligarchy is a criminal mafia, a pyramid of corruption. That is why we have half billion dollar yachts.
