getting supplies into the zoo would be incredibly difficult.

I mean, let's suppose you could get 5 lorries full of food and medicine for the zoo... but those same lorries could carry food and medicine for children.. or even arms for the military that remains... which would you choose?

It would have been best, back when Biden was releasing all kinds of intelligence and warnings about the coming invasion... if the zoo keepers had made arrangements with other zoos in Europe and evacuated all of the animals (and staff) before the war started.

But they didn't... and now it is likely the animals will die of starvation.

South African, Lawrence Anthony, was asked to help. I noticed a book for sale about another man who helped. We could send food and help relocate those who can travel. I wonder if our govt has sent messages to our zoos soliciting helpful ideas and a public appeal.

this is. If animals cannot be rescued, the most humane choice would be euthanasia. I love animals more than most people, I don’t want them to suffer.

there was a small zoo near is at a local county park. It was in financial trouble and at one point they were feeding some of the animals to each other. I think I recall some people got in a lot of trouble over that. It was quite a scandal.

physical, mental, emotional. Animals and humans alike, except for the monsters like Putin. May he burn in hell.

I can't even begin to imagine the horrors of the people in Ukraine, especially the children.
