Lost contact with her as soon as this started. Last we talked she was showing me her coin collection and telling me that she was afraid that Russia would bomb her as soon as the Olympics ended. I am so worried for her and her family.

When the Ruskis were building up their forces a non regular student from Moscow asked me what was going on. He had heard rumors that something was up but when I told him about the build up it was the first he had heard of it. Another semi regular Muscovite is desperate to get to Israel but none of the ATMs are working. He doesn't talk politics with his parents because they are Putinistas.

Two other regulars from Turkey design engines for Turkish military drones.

Just wanted to share that. I worry about my Russian guy saying the things he does but he says they can't listen because he uses a VPN? Or something like that.

It's weird having faces to go with all of this.

UPDATE: She just booked two classes for this week!!!!! So it looks like they made it out!!!!

And Kira is such an intelligent and sweet child. We were talking piggie banks and horses a few weeks ago. Her family does have relatives in Albania and they seemed to have an escape plan. But I don't know if they got out. The fascist are cluster bombing residential neighborhoods and as a father I go between deep depression on good days and fury on bad ones. I feel so helpless. I I have given some teacher salary level money to those helping refugees. But I feel like a coward for not being there.

I pray they did. As the father of a young woman I whose safety I worry about. This is the kind of evil I have only read about.

Please keep us posted on her status. It is so tragic that someone so young should ever have to go through this. Or anybody, but children will be traumatized forever.
