Maybe it's time to declare Russia as suffering some sort of psychosis event. This is NOT normal

While Tetyana Vlasenko lay there seriously hurt, she recalls a Russian military officer saying, “I’m sorry for doing this but we have an order to shoot everything that is moving, and you cannot imagine how many cars like this we have full of Nazis who are trying to bomb us,” Tetyana, 42, told NBC News on Wednesday from her bed in Kyiv City Hospital 17.

Her husband, Roman, 50, and their daughter, Katherina, 16, were also hit in their legs.

The officer’s comments echoed President Vladimir Putin’s accusations of Nazi elements within Ukraine, his stated reason for invading Russia’s western neighbor. Experts have slammed the allegations as slanderous and false.

Tetyana, a former shop worker, said the Russian soldiers she encountered “truly believe that everyone around is a Nazi.” She added that the soldiers “were all terrified,” and she had spoken calmly with them prior to the shooting.

Take away some zeroes from the number of Russians in Ukraine right now, and you know what you have? You'd have a mass shooter screaming about "secret biolabs" that they can not substantiate and giving weird labels to everyone including 16-year-old girls, while they are shooting at unarmed men, women, and children, and what do we call that here? We don't call that war or terrorism, we call that "mental illness" when it happens here over and over again.

Just putting that out there.

As in completely irrational, complete disregard to the safety and health of others, bizarre and erratic behavior, etc.

There is a social contagion and Putin is patient zero.

the power of evil becomes stronger when it happens in a large group. People in that group will do horrendous acts of evil they would never do by themself. It's not conjecture it's a proven fact and Putin was KGB he understands how to use propaganda.

we approached Iraq.

The stovepiping, the groupthink, the panic...

The parallels are all the more reason to act like this could be a social contagion, a mass psychosis.

We can't let it become OK.

There were cooler heads in 2003, but they were shouted down and called traitor. Sounds a lot like what is happening in Russia too.

Putin gets soldiers to kill Ukrainians because he has convinced them they are fighting against Nazis.

Trump gets rioters to storm our Capitol because they think they are being patriots.

Q followers think they are fighting against pedophile rings in basements of buildings that don't have basements.

All of these conflicts are unnecessary and only based in perception.

Those promoting such perceptions are the real criminals, and that includes media.

I am 66 and remember getting under my desk in grade school. We were practicing hiding from russian atomic bombs.
russia was evil then and they are still evil. We need to understand this fact.
They are a filthy evil society that has been backed into a corner by NATO. We will rightfully make the corner smaller.
Remember puketin has 70% support of his people.

It never really went away then Trump picked up the ball and ran with it. Putin saw how effective it was, so he reshaped it and took it to the next step, war and nuclear blackmail. And the media play along with the big lie, apparently fearing consequences and so here we are today. How do you call the bluff, if it is a bluff?
