(5,513 posts)1. I got a list from a Ukrainian friend yesterday.
From the list I chose uuarc.org (United Ukrainian American Relief Committee)
They've been around a long time (75 years)
I checked out their IRS 990 filing, and they don't piss away money on overhead.
I'm sure others will offer some good suggestions as well.

I like the way World Central Kitchen and Doctors With Out borders help people... Most of the money goes to the people they are trying to help. Feed'em and Fix'em..

I had Doctors Without Borders, International Rescue Committee and UNICEF on the top of my list, because each one has had a visible presence in Ukraine, and they all score well on Charity Watch.
I also give to World Central Kitchen https://wck.org/ as often as I can, including this month.

Maybe DU should have a forum devoted to charities? Just a thought. Maybe there's already one, but I couldn't find it if it exists.

I've tried to make it comprehensive and responsible, no fluff.
Thanks to all who posted links.
Indeed, I'd love this list to be posted somewhere somehow for visibility.
I can make it a thread.
Should I?
