It would be sweet to just destroy the Rethugs this election.

(8 posts)Thanks DUers for helping me and my fam with the ballot. My family is from NJ. We moved to FL at the end of 2008 and voted absentee that time. This is my first time voting here in Fl and I'm so confused. My county is Republican (Duval) but they just elected there first black mayor a year or two ago I think. Shocked that where I live there were tons of McCain/Palin signs in 08 but I've only seen less than a handful of Romney signs this year. However there are tons of negative billboards of Obama on the roads plus I think they are still showing that awful 2016 movie. Oh don't forget the Crossroads ads. I hate those TV ads.
We are going to vote Sunday hopefully. I just didnt have the strength to vote today cause I'm sick. Plus we have to vote before the 1st cause I'm going on a cruise until the 5th. Anyway I have a medically needs child who I can't be without for long periods even tho family is watching her. So my family and I are going Sunday morning. I hope to beat the church folks.
Long story short want to thank DUers for explaining how I should vote. I'm college educated. Masters degree and everything but that ballot looks so confusing. I went to different sites for info. Some sites saying no to everything except 2,9,11. I was just lost but now I know No on everything... Yes on judges. I've told my family and friends this.
Gosh im about to move to GA in Dec I hope GA ballots aren't hard in 2016.oh yeah sorry for posting this here it's just that I'm a new poster but have been lurking since 2008. I did post in 2008 but I forgot my screen name and password.

(3,657 posts)An Oct. 23-24 poll (MoE +/- 4%) from the Democratic Project New America and USAction groups has Barack Obama leading Mitt Romney in Florida 47 percent to 45 percent:
...The gender gap has widened since our last poll on October 17-18. Women now provide the President a 13-point lead (52% Obama, 39% Romney) while men opt for Romney by 11 points (52% Romney, 41% Obama).
Obama wins Independent voters right now (49% Obama, 33% Romney), though the race is close among white Independents (43% to 41%)...

Romney draws a big crowd in Pasco county? No, say it ain't so! I mean IT IS the home of pickup trucks, GED holders (and I'm being kind), mobile homes, chewing tobacco, rebel flags, crystal meth..........
Need I go on?
Basically they were saying the if rMoney ain't drawing the crowds there, then...
Guess their advance team is learning after Ford Field.
Edit: I am confused about the story I read when I first clicked on link. I read about a rally rMoney had in Pasco county and the above comment was from that story.
That said, the commenter saying: "GED holders (and I am being kind)" was a sorta priceless description of these voters for me...
