(19,038 posts)Not only are they aligned in their ideas, they are actually integrated with each other in US elections. Russia is the GOP, GOP is Russia.
And you watch, when Russia ends this invasion, Republicans will start lobbying for the sanctions to be eased immediately. Putin owns the Republican Party, he and Trump have joint custody.

(2,357 posts)when he speaks to his dad, who lives in Russia, the father denies the Russians are bombing Ukraine. The son has sent photos, but his dad says they're fake. Sounds just like Dems trying to reason with their Trumpster friends/family. Big lies spread like melted butter. The Ukrainian man called it brainwashing. Problem is, it takes (wastes) much valuable time to convince people they're believing lies.
