between 2:00 am and 5:00 am. "News reports on the big stories from the UK and around the world."
Is this something new? It appears it might be to bring additional coverage about the invasion of Ukraine, but I wonder if it is permanent.

(47,370 posts)Both MSNBC and NBC News Now, the networks free 24 hour news streamer, have been carrying the Sky News feed during select times since the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
MSNBC often carries the Sky feed during its overnight hours, when it normally airs repeats of select primetime programs. NBC News Now has also leaned on Sky during off hours, but its also popped up during more prominent periods of the day as well.

I don't watch news in the middle of the night as a rule, so I just assumed they were still playing reruns of its other shows.

(10,302 posts)I have no idea if this is permanent. If it is, it would make sense to air Sky between 3am and 5am rather than yet more repeats.
Yes it is to bring more current coverage of events in Ukraine. Makes sense since Ukraine is 7-8 hours ahead.

(47,370 posts)As long as Comcast has that resource, they might as well use it. They might even consider dumping "Way Too Early" at 5:00 am, being the Sky coverage would be current and "Way Too Early" is really a snoozefest. I really feel sorry for anyone who gets stuck with that time slot. Clearly no one wants it. Meanwhile in the UK, everyone is already wide awake!

(32,620 posts)I'm going to try recording Sky News from 2 am to 5 am because I'm never up then.
I can watch it later instead of Morning Joe.

I think this may have just begun, but I'm rarely up late enough to notice.
