China entering the Russia v Ukraine conflict...

It's not really a request for guns, bombs or planes.

It's a political move to get the US and EU to "back off" of Russia.

Let's be honest. The US/EU can NOT sanction/isolate China. That's "Great Depression Level" consequences right there.

Russia wants the US/EU to instruct Z to negotiate and make concessions to end this thing.

Several things are important to understand, since WW2 the world superpowers have mostly allowed each other to engage in war without interference or direct involvement.

The aid to Ukraine marks the first time that the world's most modern weapons are being funneled into a conflict IN THIS QUANTITY/QUALITY being fought by a superpower.

It's the equivalent of Russia and China pouring modern weapons into Iraq in 2003 and NO that doesn't mean AK47's and RPG's.

The world functions on the concept of power and the projection of it. There is a certain balance when a bully is in charge.

I don't envy President Biden. He's being torn between the desire to defend Democracy and Ukraine and a Global cataclysm that can hurl the world into depression or nuclear war.

This is high stakes Poker.

In Korea and Vietnam do this isn’t the first time by any means that modern weapons have been supplied to a nation fending off a super power.

Watched a video the other day showing the hardware Ukraine has, the best man portable AA and AT produced today.

I will repeat, for 75 years the superpowers have mostly allowed each other to conduct aggressive wars.

Yes they helped insurgents and such things... but never at this level.

This is why today's situation is dangerous.

As the MIG 17s were stare of the art at the time.

Be sure your information fits the narrative you are attempting to convey.

Sending UK-made, man portable Starstreak surface to air missiles to Ukrainian forces

@TrentTelenko
UK Starstreak missiles are seriously nasty & small anti-aircraft missile w/three dart warheads.
Being laser beam riding, Russian flares are useless to decoy them.
They are much faster than a Stinger & all the operator has to do is keep the crosshair on the aircraft.

UK Starstreak in action:

A significant step up in the UK's involvement in the war: Ben Wallace also reveals the MoD is to supply UK-made, man portable Starstreak surface to air missiles to Ukrainian forces too (the fastest in the world), as well as more rations and medical equipment.

You really need to spell out Zelensky, because the letter Z in this conflict means the opposite.

with killing Ukrainians. If China wants to take over Taiwan, does China think Russia is going to reciprocate in a meaningful way after the pummeling it has received thus far, militarily and financially? Putin's going to be a little tied up trying to subdue Ukraine, even if he prevails. It's a stupid idea to entertain--China could win big just by sitting back for now.
