I say under 2 years.

I won't guess how long he'll last, but I can see why he was sweating at his sentencing.

(25,183 posts)Perhaps they were waiting for the closure of a conviction at trial or a guilty plea. Looks like it's time for the clean-up.

(4,475 posts)Anyone ever seen an episode of this show?
I'm a bit of an aficionado. Anyway, I saw an episode where a guy was sent to a Peruvian prison for trying to smuggle cocaine out of the country. It was pretty much hell on earth. The inmates run the asylum. Van der Sloot is in for a pretty rough ride, I think.

(89,262 posts)the guy is just so cold. no emotion. he acts like he was just waiting in the line at a dmv or bank or something like that.
i hope the guy never gets out because i tihnk the first thing he would do is kill another woman.

(8,646 posts)His behavior mirrors other classic psychopath serial killers. It will be no loss if something happens to him, but I'd rather he had to sit in his little cell for the next 28 years. Maybe they can study his brain.
