Mother Jones - Twitter Made Me Do the Unthinkable: Defend Tulsi Gabbard

https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2022/03/twitter-made-me-do-the-unthinkable-defend-tulsi-gabbard/?fbclid=IwAR1ldJvk0nPg2sheeqpdowH5t0TFwJXgu6FQjptn6lt_VFURodgNIfUL-Rc

SO, it turns out that all the hoopla over Russian agent Elena Branson giving campaign donations to Tulsi Gabbard was over a grand total of $59.95. As much as I despise Gabbard I think this shows that maybe we should make it a habit to dig a little deeper for facts before we get outraged over something (and that just possibly The Daily Beast tends to sensationalize things).

It's not about $59.95. It's about her despicable gaslighting and propagandizing for Putin dalton99a Mar 2022 #3

So what $$$ from Russian sources are now being discounted over this diversion?

Regardless, every word out of her mouth screams Russian dupe (and quite frankly, IMO, American TRAITOR)

It was the fact their interests are so aligned that she felt the need to donate to Tulsi Gabbard and only Tulsi Gabbard. Also Tulsi consistently spouts Russian propaganda.

I used to defend Tulsi but couldn’t after she voted present on impeachment. All her critics were right.

Tulsi has always been (to put it politely) a bit outside the mainstream. As a representative, she met with vicious Syrian dictator (and Putin ally) Bashar al-Assad and voiced skepticism of allegations that he carried out war crimes. Her shambolic primary campaign reportedly received widespread support from Russian bots and propaganda outlets and garnered plaudits from the likes of Tucker Carlson, Steve Bannon, Richard Spencer, David Duke, and Mike Cernovich. And since then, she’s leaned into her burgeoning support from the far right, even securing a CPAC speaking slot.

I think this makes her a "useful idiot" for the Russians, whether she is a paid operative or not.
