imagine seeing those words on a product and ever deciding to buy it. No way. Those words are filled with the blood of innocent Ukrainians. And that blood will not dry in 1 year, 5 years, or 100 years.

(15,018 posts)...I'd happily support that new Russia, and it wouldn't take 100 years. There's no reason to have an enduring grudge against all of the Russian people, especially the brave ones who are protesting Putin even now.

I know it's hard to be sympathetic -- like trying to be sympathetic to the nastiness of Americans steeped in Fox and OAN and whatever garbage they wallow in on Facebook and Youtube -- but Russians have much less choice than Americans about the world view they receive, Americans who so willfully self-impose their hate and ignorance.

Where the world is going to feel the war first is in the ME and Africa with grain shipments halting very soon, if not already.

(267,798 posts)Russia produces most of the fertilizers that we use. Add to that both its and Ukraine's dominance of the wheat market and hold the celebrations a bit.

(86,040 posts)Bark boxes made in Russia. I call them bark boxes because they are elaborately decorated boxes made from tree bark, they are very unique and beautiful. Guess I'll have to come up with another gift idea.
