(146,192 posts)as a side hustle. The customer had thousands of pieces of paper that were worthless foreign currency. He had been collecting it for a long time, buying quantities of worthless cash from several countries whose economies had collapsed.
He asked me if I could make him a bathtub and shower surround that incorporated his "wealth." I said, "Sure." So, I used clear epoxy resin to make waterproof panels covered with his worthless currency. Then, I cut those to make his shower surround. I carefully arranged the currency to make a colorful pattern without too much duplication of bills near each other. Then, I installed the panels for him and he was very happy that he could surround himself with millions of face-value bills as he showered. I also made a top for the vanity in his bathroom, with foreign coins cast in resin. He collected those, too. A very interesting project.
Now, it looks like I could use Rubles to work into a similar design.
