Let me first say that my dad served in the Marine Corps and he NEVER referred to himself or others who honorable served in that branch of the service as "former". He and they were Marines, for life.
Secondly, there's an unfortunate spelling error in this guys post that NO Marine should make. Well, I THINK it's a spelling error. Could also be a character assessment.

If they don't laugh, they were probably never a Marine.
