I know people are joking, but is Tucker Carlson actually a Russian asset?

(15,523 posts)I think he's a performer with a very keen understanding of what his audience wants to hear. That's why his show is so popular - his job is to attract and retain viewers, and he's very good at it. It so happens that his audience wants to hear that everything President Biden does is wrong and bad. That includes supporting Ukraine against Russia. Carlson most likely will never agree with President Biden on his program, about anything, because he would lose viewers if he did.
What will he do if the US and Russia enter a formal state of war? I think he'll stop talking on the air about that subject entirely, and stick to criticizing President Biden on domestic issues.

(2,252 posts)get enough money being a Swanson Food Princeling? I stopped buying and serving Swanson foods when I found out he's a Swanson family member. Just looking at packages of Swanson Food makes me throw up a little in my mouth when I think of that stupid fish face look on his face.

(9,691 posts)But he has no effect if his audience refused his message.
The problem is and always will be the 35/40% of our population with authoritarian tendencies. They don't hate liberals for our beliefs, they hate us because we stand in their path of unfettered control.
Tucker will pucker and shrivel and die, but that population ain't goin' nowhere.
