We all know MSNBC has anchor issues. They don't want Olbermann back which makes them "The Worst Persons In The World!" Sorry Keith.
I find Stephanie fine with financials and when she was with Ari, BUT, I feel she get's too emotional covering the tragedies in Ukraine.
I hope she can emotionally separate or I will.
ALI not Ari. Sorry!

(1,676 posts)I am not disparaging her knowledge or intelligence. She has great knowledge of economics and finance. however, as a broadcaster, she needs seasoning. Of course, replacing who is perhaps the smoothest news anchor in the business makes it harder on her. I think Velshi would have been much better. P.S.: This has NOTHIG to do with gender.

(1,421 posts)(Velshi, not Melber). I wish Velshi had gotten the 11pm
slot, or actually Rachel's eventually. He's been doing his usual yeoman work in Poland and Hungary the last 2 was. or so.

(14,061 posts)I used to have her weekday morning show on in the background when I worked from home. There were some days when I just had to turn it off because of her constant argumentative tone and know-it-all attitude with her guests, especially if they were talking about business. I grant she knows her economics but this was a constant smartest person in the room thing. That, plus her extremely annoying habit of talking over and interrupting people. I cannot stand that in any news show host.
Glad shes on late now so I dont have to watch her anymore. Really, I dont know who else they could have gotten for this gig.

(30,540 posts)I was very disappointed that they chose to replace Brian Williams with her. I just don't like listening to her. I also turn her off, and always have.

(23,283 posts)Maybe because I'm so unpolished.
She always seemed to be factual and honest. We can do worse.

(50,170 posts)back Keith. Stephanie Ruhle is a fine reporter, but she's not someone I'll stay up to watch. Keith I would.

(121 posts)Read a story yesterday that the plan was to bring back Olbermann, but Rachel vetoed it. She owns the hour I think and would have been the producer. I hope I didn't mess up the details of how it works, but Rachel was the one to stop that move.

Keith has burned so many bridges that its hard for him to come back to broadcasting in any capacity, unless independently (podcasts, etc.), I think.

.but like I said, he doesnt work or play well with others.
Although Rachel nixed him as her replacement, Im sure her opinion carries a ton of weight with MSNBC.
