How year round daylight saving time just might benefit the GQP in the coming elections

Right here in River City (DU) there is disagreement on the notion of a year round DST.In fact, some people don't want it at all.

The whole idea of DST is really simple. And so are a lot of the objections. Mainly it is about dark mornings and kids going to school.

But how easy is it to make this about overreaching Democrats forcing more discomfort on your freedom loving ass?

The unanimous passage in the Senate was, for me, the tell. The GQP doesn't give a fat shit about people. They vote for things that benefit them. FULL STOP.

I personally favor it. I like longer daylight in the evenings. But I really thing the House or White House should pass on this one. It has the potential to be a political grenade with the pin pulled.

If it does pass , I think the same thing will happen as in the 70's.

Indiana went on DST and not only was it dark after 9 am in winter , residential energy costs soared. Standard Time would be a much better choice.

I'm also seeing a lot of complaints on Twitter to politicians. This will be interesting
