...it's the ground pounders that win the battle and ultimately the war. Taking terrain is what it's all about. You add airpower as a force multiplier, but if you cede the ground you lose.
Thus goes military strategy (and the often overlooked tactical logistics) so goes the the President's election strategy. We aren't ceding the airwaves to the Fucking Stiff, but we are overwhelmingly putting our troops in the field and on the ground.
Who said the President hasn't learned about military campaigns in the four years he's been CINC?
Keep moving forward and keep that assclown motherfucker out of the White House.
Forward and Charge.

Some men prefer fighting from aircraft , some prefer ships on the sea, some prefer tanks, others prefer fighting on the ground.

(12,177 posts)...to put it succintly, we are four individual fingers that when merged fight like a fist.
As a PL and with the aid of a brilliant PSG, I forged four fists (sometimes a fifth when I had the CO's tank) into a hammer.

(137 posts)at least that was the estimate used by the battle planners back in the day against the USSR but it increased about 30 seconds for each minute in battle. A ground pounder can light a tank up with a laser from a good distance away and a weapon is sent in from miles away taking out the tank before they even know what happended.
There are more toys in the US inventory and currently being sold all over the world by other countries to take out tanks then just about anything else sold by the arms manufactures.

If you survive long enough on this board maybe you can come back with an answer.
