immediately it occurs to me that our RW Trumpers would NEVER deign to help this woman, especially if they had any thoughts that she might be a dreaded "Democrat" or some "other."

I think the Ukrainians have a tremendous reason for pride in their response to all of this. Polish (and Hungarian people too). Would our people finally unite to help our own? All of our OWN? Sadly, I really don't know.
