I know it's a rare feat but a few of them will listen to reason and THE FACTS if they are presented. Good deed for the day done

(22,671 posts)Most Rs here are not open-minded, however, some have crossed over to Obama-Biden or are not voting at all to protest their lack of compassion and utter disappointment for the RR ticket.

(2,566 posts)Not really a hardcore Republican but he was planning on "probably" voting for Romney. The "probably" was all I needed to hear. Just showed him the facts and they did their talking for me. We need to point out those who can still be reasoned with and tell them what's what.

(15,438 posts)because everyone knows how hard it is for Republicans/Romney-supporters to have a change of mind based on the facts. It's already hard for any average person to have a change of mind - although facts do have a positive effect on the majority of people - but getting a "probably" flip from a Romney-supporter is HUGE since they, well, ignore facts.
A huge round of applause for cherish44! Yeah, you rock!

(5,668 posts)we got zinged by a local hero in wrestling today ( real wrestling) Dan Gable put his endorsement out on Mitt Romney. Not sure how my Retired doc who's a tea party doc would take that, would he suddenly go left? Dan Gable's dog kinda took a chunk out of his leg when he was younger. (Cedar Falls, IA history)
Think alot less of Dan Gable , but really don't think much of him in the first place because his dogs have bit people. Someone who's been supporting our vets coming home supports a guy who doesn't
