(20,135 posts)Only 23% voted in the general election.
Of course, the real election was the Democratic primary in June. That had...only 25% turnout.

(21,102 posts)what is wrong with what he is saying? Don't impede the police by being right on top of them with your cameras. Stay far enough back to not be a hindrance.

(68,456 posts)is going to lose this one. And the NYC police need to be recorded. They have a terrible record of abuse. You do realize that this so-called mayor (what were you thinking New York?) favors stop and frisk?

(32,641 posts)cops got fired for turning theirs off. IF cops got tested for illegal and legal drugs every time there is a us of force, including drawing ones weapon. IF every cops that gave a "Professional Courtesy was fired for violating his or hers Oath of office. If those things become common, there might be little need to film them.

(4,552 posts)So I am addicted to the 1st amendment audit videos. I don't think the audit folks stay back far enough. I have to agree with the police on this issue. The other side of the issue is the police response is to send the audit folks way to far away. The police claim it is an officer safety issue. So wouldn't it be safer to keep the audit people close so you can keep an eye on them. These are the issues we need to figure out moving forward.
These audits are supporting our rights and clearly were needed. Police still do not understand what the free press means.
