https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2022/mar/16/trump-white-house-aide-secret-author-dominion-reportBut the Dominion report was in fact produced by the senior Trump White House policy aide Joanna Miller, according to the original version of the document reviewed by the Guardian and a source familiar with the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
The original version of the Dominion report named Miller - who worked for the senior Trump adviser Peter Navarro as the author on the cover page, until her name was abruptly replaced with that of Friess before the document was to be released publicly, the source said.
The involvement of a number of other Trump White House aides who worked in Navarros office was also scrubbed around that time, the source said. Friess has told the Daily Beast that she had nothing to do with the report and did not know how her name came to be on the document...

(2,636 posts)He had zero interest in governing. He just liked the trappings of fancy being president brought him.
Putin helped tRump steal Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania to throw the electoral college to the GZP. TDFG's focus on trump-twitter, and the rise of OANN and Newsmax to TV leads me to think he didn't care if Hillary won, he was going to set up a news network and social media platforms to rival FOX and attack the first woman president.
Because the fix did work, he counted on it in 2020.
When we get out the vote, we win.

(12,286 posts)Because a number of GOP states now can simple change the electors and even if a state goes to Biden, they will change it.

(991 posts)They tested it out in 2016 when a few places went to Hillary and the elector voted for t****. I dont know why this issue is not spoken of, but rarely.
Straw Man
(6,622 posts)... but isn't that what happens when a state does "all or nothing" electoral voting rather than proportional electoral voting? When you say "a few places," are you referring to whole states? Only two states do proportional electoral voting.

(991 posts)will increase substantially because electors are being chosen by republicans based on their willingness to be faithless.
Also, many mail ins are invalid as people didnt write in their social security number, or some other error in filling out.

Tbh, Im confused about all the different kinds of voting; proportional, approval, ranked-choice
Straw Man
(6,622 posts)So it seems that these faithless electors voted against the winning candidate even though they were from states that are "winner take all," if not by law then at least by tradition. They weren't enough to sway the election either way, but it's still a scary precedent.

(2,636 posts)The call is coming from inside the White House.
It was always coming from the White House. TDFG projected and announced beforehand everything he wanted to do.

The IWP Internship Experience: Joanna Miller
https://www.iwp.edu/articles/2018/04/24/the-iwp-internship-experience-joanna-miller/
My name is Joanna Miller, I am a junior at American University studying National Security and Foreign Policy with a minor in Mandarin Chinese Language, and am currently on the Cyber Intelligence Research Team at IWP. My internship experience overall at IWP has been life-changing, and has inspired me to do things that I would have never imagined myself doing. This is all because of the fact that IWP equips its students and interns for future careers in intelligence, national security, and more by learning how to think about international relations issues in their proper context, rather than the way we imagine them to be. Also, IWP emphasizes the importance of being leaders whose primary goal is to serve others first, rather than climb the career ladder. Students and interns are taught by professors and research practitioners who have had long-term careers in the U.S. Military, Central Intelligence Agency, U.S. Department of State, and more, who give students and interns hands-on experiences relevant to actual work in the fields of intelligence and national security.
On the Cyber Intelligence Research Team, I have had the privilege of working with another intern on a research project supervised by Dean Lane, the Senior Vice President of Cyber Intelligence, who is a retired U.S. Navy pilot who fought with the Special Forces in the Vietnam War, was the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of many companies, and author of #1 bestseller CIO Wisdom. Our project this semester utilized open source intelligence to analyze Chinese and Russian cyber capabilities and assess how a cyber war between China and Russia over the Central Asian oil sector could occur.
On top of the fantastic research experience I have had, the IWP community has been nothing but organized, helpful, and supportive from the very first day. As an intern, whether I was needing help setting up for an event, needed career advice, wanted to be partnered with an alumnus working in a field in which I am interested, and more, professors, staff, and students have never fallen short of ensuring I had what I needed to be the most successful. IWP truly is a hidden gem in Washington, D.C. and has given me the experience of a lifetime that I am proud to share with family and friends.
