Tucker Indignant After GOPer Calls His Show 'Russian Disinformation'
He claims it's "slander." What part did Rep. Michael McCaul get wrong?
By Susie Madrak — March 18, 2022
Video @ link~

Last night, Tucker Carlson accused a Texas GOP congressman of slandering him. Via The Daily Beast:

Carlson claimed that Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX) “has told a number of people that this show is an organ of Russian disinformation.”

“In other words, not only are we wrong—which is fine—we are disloyal Americans. We’re doing the bidding of a foreign power,” Carlson said of what he believes to be McCaul’s opinion.

IT IS MERE COINCIDENCE THAT TUCKER LINES UP WITH PUTIN TALKING POINTS! HOW DARE HE IMPLY OTHERWISE?

“That is not fine,” Carlson said. “That is slander.”

No, Tucker. No, it isn't. Slander requires a FALSE STATEMENT. What did Rep. McCaul say that isn't true? I mean, when the Kremlin is telling state TV they have to run your clips, doesn't that prove his point?

Carlson, whose frequent Kremlin-friendly commentary has been cited approvingly on Russian state television, dismissed McCaul’s alleged criticism by claiming that his show is “only and narrowly interested in the interests of our own country.” The Fox News host added that “we don’t care what the Russian government says”—only what the U.S. does. (Perhaps that explains his apparent indifference to being used as an instrument of Russian propaganda.)

Go ahead, Tucker. Don't make empty threats. I double-dog dare you to sue Rep. McCaul for libel. Remember the process of discovery? Let's get into your bank statements and see just what shakes out.

still exists (it doesn't) and that Russia is a Communist nation (it isn't) I believe at one time Russia actually used the word "capitalism" but whether or not that is still the case, the current Russian system most resembles a Russian Orthodox Taliban. Look how cozy Putin and the Patriarch are - and how they speak with one voice. Remember how Pussy Riot was slammed for disrespecting the church. They are not as loud about it, or at least not to the world, as our American Taliban is - but it
s there.

I think if we miss this, if we fail to point it out, we are missing a really good tool for comminicating what has been and is happening - there AND here.

Calling these Facists "communists" feeds into the GOP narrative that socialists/communists/ anything left is bad and is not helpful to us. Also, it's just not accurate to call facists "communists". This modern Russia is very much Right Wing.

just stop complaining about his echoing Russian talking points and general toxic garbage.

It corrupts democracy.
It's corrupt to allow Murdoch's & Carlson's weaponizing the first amendment to promote the empire goals of a foreign leader because they admire the 'brutal manly honesty' of a civilian murderer, and a history eraser, and destroyer of sovereign neighbors under his own Big "self defense" Lie.

It's their four-year train wreck, and they want us to keep staring at it as they pull their 2022 midterm state levers.

Far as I'm concerned, I'm just not wasting any more time on caring what alt-right media say.

In this midterm, focusing my money, manpower and messaging is my priority.

Civil suits against the Russian cheerleaders are posssible if we can figure out how to have standing to sur. Of course anyone dorectly slandered or libeled can sue. If our messaging can tempt them into slander/libel, that might be a path. Not a comfortable path, like getting them charged with treason, bu could definitely be worth it/.

Being indignant is his usual state of being whenever he is accused of something that is actually true. Don't forget that he got huffy last year about the NSA monitoring his communications WITH RUSSIA! His excuse was that he was trying to get an interview WITH PUTIN, which, as he says, is his God-given right as an American!

You’ve been doing the “aid and comfort to the enemy” thing for quite awhile. Live on TV, night after night. You’re nothing but an enemy sympathizer with a media platform. You should be yanked off the air. NOW. Selling out your country on prime time every night.

You should be yanked off the air. IMMEDIATELY.

Tucker is an asset for russia and that is a true statement.
He is a filthy puke who is cheerleader for a country that is blowing up children in hospitals. Russia has no excuse for what they are doing.
