I looked at the first kit I got and the expiration is in July. The new one I just got is January 2023. Just want everyone to be aware.

(14,846 posts)... myself yesterday.
I went to a congested restaurant, and later a busy bar, with my brother and his extremely extroverted fiancée last Saturday night.
It was all her idea, but we voluntarily went along as if the pandemic was totally over.
The single blue line meant I was negative for Covid, at least.
EDIT: I mostly tested myself because of very minor "symptoms" -- which were most likely allergies to the Spring flora around here.

(33,915 posts)I used 2 this week - fever & stuffy/runny nose. Theoretically not COVID, but that's what I get for deciding not to wear a mask at my retirement paoccasionally removing my mask on selected occasions was 50 (total) new cases /100,000 people over 14 days in the county of the event - i.e. 3-4 new cases per 100,000 people per day. We were at 53 that day, so I decided it was close enough for a brief special occasion, in an air column 3 stories high. Guess not.
I suspect we will have occasion to use the remaining 2 with the July expiration date before then.

(58,436 posts)Used two tests this week due to a cold I had/have. Tested negative on both, so I feel better. But thought I should re-order.
On another note, the fed tests will probably run out soon, since the repubs killed the funding. Might want to look into that. My state is providing tests as well, and I ordered some of those, too. I hope they don't go to waste.
