Today is my 18th Anniversary on D.U.

Very few days did I ever miss reading. When I first joined we were fighting what I thought was the worst “evil” ever….
Bush/Cheney
Then came trump and all that changed.

Anyway I’m still here and reading. Still in disbelief that so many people care nothing about their own country.

Thanks for all the years and friends I’ve made!
D.U. Is more than just news and facts. It’s a collection of
people with compassion and empathy and heroic people much like the Ukrainians!! People working everyday to fight the evil!

I’m proud to say I’ve seen this group ban together on so many things. Fighting the good fight!

We are more than just a group… a collective mass of people that project some goodness still alive in America today.

A shout out to my friend JohnnyRingo who brought me to this group 18 years ago. Glad he’s still in my life as well.

34. For me it's been eighteen years officially in January

though I was reading DU for some time before that. I have also met many great people, quite a few who are close friends now.

we joined at the same time.

After the 2016 election, DU being down was horrible.

Even when I get a little bitey, I enjoy being here...it's an online home, with "family" who bicker but ultimately stick together in the end.

I think many of us signed up in those dark days of another war. This is my 18th year also, though down the pike a few months.
