So I asked "How many Nazis has Russia captured?"

FYI, my county is solid red, maybe 10/15% Democrat. Was at a large auction today and posed that question to
strangers, over half laughed, giggled or had a favorable comment. 10% were upset I would even ask that question,
painting Russia in a bad light, the rest had no idea what I was talking about. Holy cow, how many of our fellow
Americans have no clue what's going on the in world?

One of the 10% claimed he didn't care what happens between Russia/Ukraine because it doesn't affect him in any
way. So I asked "Isn't all the military aid we're giving UKR come out of your tax dollars?" To which he made a
negative comment about Biden giving stuff to UKR. I responded with "So you're OK with killing innocent women
and children?" With that I walked away knowing I was talking to a magaloon who had a BS answer for everything.

However, Ukrainians have technically violated prisoner of war conventions by releasing video of Russians calling momma.

4. Most Americans couldn't find Russia on a map, let alone Ukraine!

I'm always surprised at the huge percentage of Americans that have never been out of the country.

who believe the most absurd nonsense about the rest of the world.

For instance, calling Sweden "a socialist hell-hole." Or not believing health care in Germany is so much better than in the USA. Or doubting European or Japanese or Chinese train service is so much better than Amtrak.

"USA #1" is their mantra. They refuse to be confused by facts.

As well as money issues later on.

So I've only traveled as an adult by plane 4x's. Two I paid for myself. Two were totally unexpected gifted💖 vacations.

My last trip was NYC to Geneva Swz my longest flight and overnight. 8+ hours. Seeing the tops of the morning misty Alps as we flew and turned toward Geneva was incredible!
My relatives lived in the Western section not quite halfway up. On a clear sunny day you could make out the blue mass in the distance of The Alps.

Even though I've hardly been out of the country I've always followed (national and) international issues. While I can't name every country, I can name s whole lot of them all around the world. 👍
And usually name 48-50 of our US States. 🙂👍
