This is actually a sympathetic article of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) on Ukraine,

but there is no mistake where they stand on NATO, and it is the same position trump and putin have:

"In late February, the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) released a position statement on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The short, five-paragraph letter instantly inspired outrage—primarily because of a single sentence in its fourth paragraph. After condemning Russia’s invasion and urging diplomacy, de-escalation, and an immediate cease-fire, the statement’s authors added that the DSA “reaffirms our call for the US to withdraw from NATO and to end the imperialist expansionism that set the stage for this conflict.” Further remarks about American obligations toward refugees and preparing for a long-term response to this crisis followed, but so far as the majority of the reading public was concerned, the DSA might as well have said nothing else at all. Backlash followed swiftly."

Ignoring the fact that NATO is a defensive group to protect small countries from what is happening now in Ukraine

Fox News and the Republican Party loves to promote this band of misfits and their idiocy. It helps them to paint the Democratic Party with the democratic socialist brush.

They suck and should be ignored as the fools that they are.

12. Ignorant slogan-spouting ideologues. Just like Republicans who think everything socialist is bad

They think everything socialist is good: The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was a good thing because of the word Socialist, therefore its successor the Russian Federation is good, therefore the President of the Russian Federation is... well, NOT BAD (NATO MADE HIM DO IT)

Fools, indeed

I'd like to hear them address the imperalism of Russia.
I find this group chilling & question what they would intend for the world should NATO suddenly cease to exist.

Is that what they want? They are ok with Putin's decision to invade, bomb, kill & threaten wirh his arsenal of Nukes should NATO make a move against his tyranny?

Its clear on where they stand.

Isn't it the expansionism of imperialist Putin and his oligarchs that makes eastern European nations want to join NATO for protection?

Are they really saying that a sovereign nation state asking to join NATO and being accepted when they meet the requirements is imperialism?

Czar Putin is acting like a typical mobster.

It's like a mobster putting a gun up to the person's head next to you and saying I'll shoot if you don't stop looking at him. Then when he shoots he blames it on you. It's your fault I shot that person because you were looking.

Geez......when will people learn Czar Putin can't be made to do anything he doesn't want to do. All decisions out of Russia are made by him, not by his citizens, not by the Federal Assembly and certainly not by NATO. Czar Putin just really wanted to be a war Czar and Ukraine was his target.

I've changed my title for Putin eversince I watched that documentary on his palace. I use to call him Shorty because it's a cool mobster name. But he has symbols of the Czar of Russia scattered throughout his palace. On his front door is a replica of the last Czar of Russia's golden eagle that was seen being torn down by the people in old films of the Russian revolution.

So he really thinks he's a Czar.

The tsar' had little use for anything like a legislature and wasn't much into worrying about PR.

The USSR and other CPs deep into "building socialism," whether international or "socialism in one country" were seriously into both.

He really believes he owns Russia.

Yeah, as despotic Russian dictators go, Putin tries to hide it more than others, that's why he uses propaganda and the false front of a legislative branch. But many a monarchy has a legislative branch and use PR like the Queen of England and the Netherlands. North Korea constantly uses PR, just to keep the starving population submissive. But he is just as deadly to the people of Russia as any of the feudal kings and dictators that have come before in Russian history.
