Voting rights groups have filed a lawsuit seeking to stop a pro-Trump group from going door-to-door in Colorado in search of evidence to support voter fraud allegations that have already been debunked and rejected by courts.
The lawsuit alleges that the U.S. Election Integrity Plan led by Shawn Smith, an ally of former Trump strategist Steve Bannon and MyPillow founder Mike Lindell is sending armed members door-to-door in areas with large numbers of voters of color, questioning people about how they voted and taking photographs of their homes.

(21,264 posts)what DOJ allowed the Cyber Ninjas to do, this is one of the ramifications of DOJ doing nothing.
Someone needs to write another stern letter, the 1st one was ignored.

(94,360 posts)Once the election was certified by Arizona authorities, the ballots were no longer election records to be tampered with; they were archival documents. No law violation (certainly not a Federal one) making them available to outside parties.

(21,264 posts)The U.S. Department of Justice on Wednesday expressed concerns that a controversial audit and recount of the November election in Arizona's Maricopa County may be out of compliance with federal laws.
Pamela Karlan, the principal deputy assistant attorney general with the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division, wrote in a letter that federal officials see two issues with the election review ordered by the Republican-led state Senate.
One issue is that ballots, voting systems and other election materials are no longer in the custody of election officials a possible violation of federal law, which requires state and local election workers to store and safeguard federal voting records.
Title 52 U.S.C.
20701. Retention and preservation of records and papers by officers of elections; deposit with custodian; penalty for violation
Every officer of election shall retain and preserve, for a period of twenty-two months from the date of any general, special, or primary election of which candidates for the office of President, Vice President, presidential elector, Member of the Senate, Member of the House of Representatives, or Resident Commissioner from the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico are voted for, all records and papers which come into his possession relating to any application, registration, payment of poll tax, or other act requisite to voting in such election, except that, when required by law, such records and papers may be delivered to another officer of election and except that, if a State or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico designates a custodian to retain and preserve these records and papers at a specified place, then such records and papers may be deposited with such custodian, and the duty to retain and preserve any record or paper so deposited shall devolve upon such custodian. Any officer of election or custodian who willfully fails to comply with this section shall be fined not more than $1,000 or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.

(21,264 posts)to the Republican Senate in Arizona.
The letter asked the Senate to make sure that Cyber Ninjas weren't violating the law by allowing ballots, voter information, and election materials and equipment to be out of the possession of election officials.
The letter also "asked" the Senate to check to see that canvassers going door to door were not intimidating voters.
Here, read the stern letter that permitted all of these fraudits and door to door intimidation.

What the Cyber Ninjas did was not just a violation of state law, it also violated federal law.
