(17,465 posts)It is much easier talking about killing a despot than doing it. It would need to be an inside job. Putin has had to protect himself from people like himself for decades, he is probably pretty good at it.

(23,320 posts)For instance, there are multiple executive orders that are explicit in prohibiting such actions by the US. President Biden could opt to repeal such executive orders.

(115,584 posts)and even that would be difficult. He's very paranoid (and maybe he should be) and he doesn't let anyone get near him, even his own aides.

(90,549 posts)Any attempt like that would have to come from someone in his own inner circle, and they would have to recognize the damage hes doing to Russia itself, and be willing to die horribly at his hands if they fail.
The worldwide sanctions may do that, though. Push that agenda, I mean. But an average citizen? Not a chance.
