So we lost MrsK

We are going through our grief, folks from here reaching out. A lot of folks I knew professionally have reached out, behavioral specialists who just offer, LilBit gonna go thru this, be ready, you know how to handle it, I worked with you. Rehab. Counselors from 6 years ago, same mssg.
My point, I know I can get support on DU in my specified case, I kinda stopped reading DU cuz when I pop in, the posts seem to be written with anger nowadays, Ukraine this, this is what we need to do, inflation this, this is what we need to do.
As I told you all, we moved to Chiefland Fla, middle of trumpie world, I was always just Koz,, welp gotta tell some truth.

MrsK retired from govt job, I filed immediately when she died, govt doing their thing, lil bit and I since Mrs passed have had zero income. It’s how we structured life insurance policies. We thought if one passed, govt would step up and honor quickly. Doesn’t work that way. I’m living it with LilBit. 5 weeks out since I got death certain and filed for life ins, Nothing. I call of course, they say “covid” we don’t have workers. It’s ok. Because,

All these maga’s that live in campground with us and KnowUs. Have put, without any requests from Me. 15k in our bank I don’t know why.
My point is. Let’s not get focused on online crap with so much anger or hate in our online posts( I did it too). I’m learning , in The RealWorld. All you gotta do is be you. Let you anger go to close friends, vent on them in real life, put you angey thoughts on an online forum,, someone’s gonna read it and take it to heart. Stay in the real world LilBitandKoz will. And so will MAGAS, who are paying our bills since Mrs passed.
The def of Democrats is not only how to give, but, how to listen, stay calm, tell your points, and put out the other hand when you need” cuz we all just still human beings, all the MAGAs know, is what they read o line

my friend.
I see people so caught up in the caricatures they have built of others that it consumes them and then begin to believe it all.
It doesn't have to be like that, nor should it.
I live in a remote area and I'm surrounded and outnumbered by the red trumpsters. But whenever I need help or they need help, we are always out there for each other, without hesitation. There's absolutely no reason for the outrageous hate every day. It helps no one and hurts everyone.

The Trumpsters Party have been fomenting hate for 40 years. It started with the cute little quips from reagan and they ratcheted it up during the Bill Clinton years and have been on weird binge ever since. They used it to sail into the majority and have been screwing up the country ever since. So when I hear we should all be nice, it's getting very difficult when we are being pummeled and getting hate from them frothing at the mouth from the right without reservation. They even started Fox news to do it daily and nationally. When that crap all stops, I'll rethink the nice thing. Yes people can act human, but right after they go back to their armchairs and listen to crap spewed by awful people like Jeannine Piro and Tucker Carlson. It's not easy for the brain to keep it all even when they are so weird. Today, a co-worker (union member) said he hates Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and a couple of other dems and wishes they would just drop dead - all while watching fox news showing him Putin performing genocide in Ukraine. I am sure irony escapes him and he voted for Trump and would again if that was all the republicans put out there. So beee nice Good Luck!

Since Mrs passed, were here when ambulance came. He wore all the red hats you could think of. They are taking care of us financially till life insurance comes in, BUT. Him and I were drinking coffee this morn and I asked, so where’s your cap? And he said, you were always a tree hugger, ( inside joke) watching you Koz these last 7 weeks, I just wanna be like you, I threw all the caps away. Hence my points, be human, get offline , talk to human beings, specially Trumpers, cuz we all know they need our help, lol.

We all love DU , But set the phone down, walk away, find a human, even one with a red cap and just say “ hi, how are you today?” Life is too short for online anger. There is a ton of love in the world, go find it, make the first move.
And ty , you just made my point. Everything that said, well, is tv, online, and so forth. We are, and should be, better than “them”

But not to strangers. Not to society. Not to "others." The greater good only ends about a mile from their house.

I get where you're coming from. So I'm wary.

But also, we're here for each other.

Worked at the GP plywood factory. 1/2" snow, melted within an hour. People were walking around in shock. 80 year old lady at the Ace hardware said she'd never seen snow in her life. The folks around there didn't seem to get out much. Sinkhole in middle of town served as the city night time dump. Took about a week to eat refrigerators. Sofas and stoves went quicker.

We live on the south shore of Lake Ontario in New York, and we don't have to worry about such things here.

Florida is a different story. In the Ocean and Gulf there are sharks and even crocs in the brackish water. In the lakes, rivers and tributaries there are gators, snakes, lizards, and even Bull sharks in fresh water. It seems like everything wants to kill you in Florida, including the Governor.

No, I wouldn't put my hands in the water down there. I lived in Clearwater for four years and couldn't wait to move back to New York. I can handle snow and ice better than oppressive heat in the summer, hurricanes, tornadoes, snakes, gators, crocs, wild boar, sharks, crazy republicans, tourists etc. You have to be in your toes all the time.

A good neighbor is someone who is willing to lend a helping hand. It shouldn't matter who anyone voted for, or maybe they didn't vote at all. You're lucky to have thoughtful, caring friends to help you through this difficult time.

and work in your yard. Both my brother and I are taking down trees: his is diseased and dead, mine, was old and split in two in the heavy snow we got 3 weeks ago. I don't live on a street but my brother does and he said he is amazed at how many people--his neighbors, people out for their daily walk--stop to talk to him.

I'm amazed that MAGAs put that much in your bank account.
