Why it's so hard not to hate Republicans

I hate Republicans because I know I can't watch Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson's confirmation hearings this week without hitting the mute button every time a Republican Senator speaks.

I know their obnoxious and condescending line of questioning will immediately make me ashamed to be an American. And my blood pressure will rise everytime I see the arrogant smirk on the faces of Cruz, Hawley, Blackburn, etc...

The GOP, especially in Washington DC, make following current events unbearable and even toxic They've destroyed political discourse in this country. And are proud they've made most Americans distrust the government and democracy. They make it really hard not to hate them.

Being an attorney and knowing how he's made a mockery of the office of senator, and yet he loves to sneer at others as if they're not worthy. He's such a pompous ass who's not worthy of an ounce of respect himself.

Mean, reactionary bastards are trying to erase the second half of the twentieth century. The same thing that drives Putin drives them: Power and control at all costs.

The minute I hear it’s a Republican, I’m gone.

I realized awhile ago that they’re against everything I’m for, and they’re for everything I’m against.

They want to take America back to the 1950s. And the McConnell judges on the courts are letting them get away with it.

It's very childish, and aimed at silly little social media likes instead of serious disagreements, but unfortunately the consequences are real.

People like this will not negotiate in good faith with you. You just can’t do it. They’re just determined to be as obstructionist as they possibly can.

no more ability to listen to their preening lies and while the Dems on the committee will rebut, they have to do so in such a Senate-mandated "cordial" manner that the point is lost. Of course, those who most need to hear such rebuttals won't be listening either.

I am glad that she appears to have the 50 Dem votes for confirmation. I'm sad that she won't get much of the public's informed celebration,
