It's in the bag, republicans. Why stand in line to vote?
"I think it's very unlikely, as a historian ... he can win a significant popular victory vote and not carry the electoral college," he said.
"I think he's actually going to end up wining 53-47."

(31,849 posts)said that ... it made me look up.
Then I watched and listened to the rest of what he was saying ... Then it hit me ... this guy is bluffing! (not that I didn't already know he is full of crap, but ...)
Gringrich reminded me of the guy sitting across the Poker Table from me last night (the guy with the shortest stack at the table). As he made these really bold bets on the Flop, he would sit there and looked at us with the exact same look newt had when newt was saying that romney was going to win because of high gas prices and the general belief among the electorate that President Obama has not improved the economy.
That guy was bluffing and so is newt! Neither, actually believe what they are/were saying; but all the books say, "when bluffing - project confidence." But this strategy doesn't work when the rest of the table knows you are drawing dead.

(269,098 posts)Didn't he predict that he would win the ReTHUG primary?

(82,383 posts)That reasoning indicates he does not!
Rmoney winning by a huge margin in red states leaves plenty of popular vote that wont help him.
